Meet Eric Sweeney, New MD MEP Supply Chain Program Manager

Please join us in welcoming Eric Sweeney to the MD MEP team! Eric is joining us as the new Supply Chain Program Manager. He will dedicate his time to assisting manufacturers and addressing supply chain challenges, identifying new opportunities, and creating programs to strengthen Maryland’s supply chain and defense industrial base.

A 2015 graduate of Towson University, Eric studied business administration with a concentration in Finance. Prior to MD MEP, Eric worked in various areas of the financial services sector from syndicated corporate loan management to Lean coaching and implementation. Most recently, he worked as a Process Reengineering Specialist helping to deliver process excellence initiatives including value stream mapping, robotic process automation, data analytics, and various other Lean tools and analyses with the goal of embedding the mindset of innovation and continuous improvement.

“I am excited to see how my knowledge and skills will transfer from working within the financial services industry to now working with Maryland manufacturers,” he says. “Particularly, I love the idea of being able to work with and help grow companies right here in Maryland.”

A life-long Maryland native, raised in Howard County, and currently residing in the Towson area, Eric is a proud husband and father to a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.  When he is not spending time with his family, Eric enjoys playing rugby for the Baltimore Chesapeake Rugby Club and dedicates time to coaching local rugby clubs, playing the guitar, fishing, and exercising.

We are thrilled to have Eric as part of the MD MEP team, working with Maryland manufacturers to enhance their supply chains and strengthen the industry for years to come.
