The Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP) is excited to announce a new video series Beyond the Loading Dock. As part of MD MEP’s ‘Make It In Maryland’ initiative, this series takes you to some of Maryland’s most unique and innovative manufacturing facilities to see how they bring their products to life. In the first installment of the Beyond the Loading Dock series, you go inside  PRS Guitars, Stevensville, MD facility, to see how they create some of the most beautiful guitars in the world.

Maryland is home to a very diverse community of manufacturing businesses across many different industries. Nearly 4,000 Maryland manufacturers employ more than 110,000 workers and contribute roughly $25 billion to the state’s bottom line GDP through the products they make.

Beyond the Loading Dock, created by MD MEP, is an extension of the larger Make It In Maryland initiative, designed to educate and inform individuals on the importance of manufacturing and its impact on our economy.
