Maryland MEP Announces Manufacturing Skills Bootcamp in Frederick to Address Workforce Needs
Candidates and employers invited to learn more on March 23 at free virtual informational session.
Columbia, Md. – The Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Maryland MEP) today announced its next Maryland Manufacturing Skills for Success Bootcamp series, a free, five-day program designed to connect motivated individuals with careers in the manufacturing sector. The upcoming bootcamp, planned for May 2026 in Frederick, Md. at a location to be announced, offers a unique opportunity for both job seekers looking to enter the industry and manufacturers seeking to hire skilled talent.
To provide more information, Maryland MEP will host a virtual information session on Monday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. This session will offer prospective candidates and interested employers a detailed overview of the program, its benefits, and how to participate.
The Maryland Manufacturing Skills for Success Bootcamp is an intensive, hands-on training program that equips participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in modern manufacturing. The curriculum covers essential topics such as manufacturing principles, safety protocols, and quality control, preparing graduates for immediate employment. Upon completion, Maryland MEP works to connect graduates with partner manufacturing companies across the state that are actively hiring.
