The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) has officially opened its fiscal year 2027 Commercial & Community Buildings Grant Program, which provides funding opportunities for eligible Maryland manufacturers and other organizations.

The program supports qualifying energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy development, and energy storage projects in eligible buildings. The program is intended to help lower energy costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support clean energy and economic development.

Applications are now open and are due December 9, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET.

Eligible projects may include:

Energy efficiency improvements
Building electrification
Renewable energy development
Energy storage
Other qualifying building energy improvements

Join Maryland MEP and MEA for an informational webinar.

We will share program eligibility and requirements, application best practices, evaluation considerations, and other key details to help you better understand the funding opportunity and prepare a strong application. We’ll also answer as many questions as possible during the session.

Prior to and following the webinar, Maryland MEP plans to assist manufacturers with the application process, including support with facility energy baselines, energy consumption calculations, and estimated energy savings for proposed projects.
