Faces of Manufacturing
The Maryland MEP’s Faces of Manufacturing Program is about telling the STORY of the men and women who work within the manufacturing companies that are proud to call Maryland home. Each of these individuals has a unique story to tell, whether it be from challenges they have overcome, dreams they have pursued or just pure passion for making things. We hope that the Faces of Manufacturing program can provide the platform for these stories to be told and a way to share the amazing work that is taking place here in Maryland.
Manufacturing provides opportunities for individuals of all races, genders, and education and experience levels to have an impact on the world through the production of goods. They may not have all taken the same journey to get where they are but they are all proud to be a part of the Maryland Manufacturing Community.
Manufacturing Summer Internship Program
MD MEP’s Internship Program is designed to support Maryland manufacturers with the cost of hiring, onboarding and training summer interns. Manufacturing internships are a critical step in recruiting the next generation of talent to the industry and MD MEP is committed to supporting these opportunities.
Maryland Manufacturing Day - 2016 Company Highlights
Each year, on the first Friday in October, the nation celebrates National Manufacturing Day. In 2016, we partnered with the Baltimore Orioles to host ‘Manufacturing Day at the Yard’, to celebrate Maryland manufacturers and help expose the general public to some of the manufacturing companies located here and shine a light on the opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide. In the days prior to the event, Fox 45 Baltimore joined us inside some manufacturing facilities and outside of Camden Yards to highlight the event and some of the manufacturers involved!
